Hey Mel,

Well.  The parsing is the easy part.

That's why there are companies out there that make money building this kind of software, and why freebies such as AdBlock for browsers grow to take all the author's time.

A combination of static analysis for known domains and heuristic analysis goes pretty far, but the time and level of expertise required are not minimal.

Nor would Applescript really be the tool-of-choice for doing this sort of work.

Then again you didn't ask if it could be done conveniently or well.  :)
