Yeah. It's a class in the Finder rather than a coercion, and it will only function in certain circumstances.

Mind you - it's much faster than Finder references.

Now this is weird. I drop 35 items on the following in an app, and it gives me a length of 7.

on open x

display dialog (length of x)

end open

I drop 10 items from a different folder, and it returns a length of 2.

Mac OS 10.7.4.
