Mail script for grouping messages?

Currently Apple Mail will highlight all messages in a mailbox that are of the same thread.

I'd like to be able to maybe click on a message and then have those messages group together, one above the other.

Are there hooks in the dictionary that can be utilized by a script to accomplish this?
