Modifying your Keychain Certificates with an AppleScript

Hello all!

I was wondering if it is possible to AppleScript deleting an expired Certificate from one's Keychain or at least, calling to have Safari look to use a newly delivered certificate instead of continuing to use an old certificate.

Scenario-

We have a cert delivered to a device... it lasts for 60 days-

Before the old Cert dies a new one is delivered, and the old one remains in use.

When the old one expires, the new one is not leveraged by Safari unless we manually go into a users Keychain Access.app and delete the former. Upon deletion (which requires admin rights (BOO!)) a user is then prompted properly to select a new Certificate. We hate being caught with our pants down, as many who we have fixed have been remote (as far as Honk Kong).

Can anyone see what we are trying to do?  Please respond if you require more information to assist.

Maybe we could only make a script to see when our certificate is going to expire and to inform a person to contact IT ASAP to update? Maybe a minimal solution...

Thanks,
Allyn
