set zoom of desk top

  • Subject: set zoom of desk top

Hi,

In my continuing effort to control the viewability of my iMac I'm now looking to scale the Zoom of the screen.

I can get the size of the screen with;
tell (do shell script "/usr/sbin/system_profiler SPDisplaysDataType | grep Resolution") to set {monitor_R, monitor_B} to {word 2 as number, word 4 as number} -- get screen size for monitor

And I can do a Control Scroll to Zoom in.

Now, using a shortcut key combo, I would like to scale the Desktop (not a window) up so that a preselected window fills the screen.

Is this even possible?

TIA,

Robert Poland
