Hmmm, that's perhaps not too nice, should you only need to nicely quit an application (not force quit it).

Again, here follows a half-baked proposal. ;-)

Let's say one wants to quit the 3d application process:

	tell application "System Events" to get bundle identifier of third application process
	tell application id result to quit
