section divider layer (boolean, r/o) : If true, the layer is a section divider layer. separator layer (boolean, r/o) : If true, the layer is a separator layer.
But I can't find any information what these are and what their function is. Any clues? Thanks.
Hi Rick,
While I have no experience with either of these, I tried my hand at googling information about these two layer properties as they apply to images placed in InDesign.
There's a bit of info about "sectionDividerLayer" in reply 3 (by Laubender) on the following webpage. He/she says that the property identifies a layer group in an image.
There's a discussion on the following webpage (in German) that implies that "separatorLayer" is a property of a PDF file placed in InDesign. (It could, by extension, perhaps also apply to an Illustrator file.)
My advice is to pay attention to "sectionDividerLayer" if your PSDs contain layer groups, but I think you can safely ignore the "separatorLayer" property.
