The act of triggering the "Force Quit" cures the lockup.

Which app is locking up?

Hello

(1) on my system it's Mail which refuse to quit the standard way so I'm forced to apply force quit.

(2) I'm puzzled because
keystroke character id 27 using {command down, option down}
is supposed to be the same
than
key code 53 using {command down, option down}

I checked the id defining esc with this code :

set esc1 to character id 27
set esc2 to ASCII character 27
esc1 = esc2
--> true
