Now that the original problem is solved (or, more exactly, circumvented), we may indeed focus on the script itself. ;-)
Jörgen, I guess you have a Linux background, don't you?
I ask, because of your usage of "ps uxc", which may not yield exactly the expected result with our beloved platform.
