I've been a user of Eudora mail client for Mac for more than a decade, and have recently made the switch to Mail.
I still use Eudora to search 15(?) years of archived messages that are still in Eudora mailbox format. (Conversion of these to Mail format may come at some time, but let's not go down that road now...)
Each time I launch Eudora I find that the "Default Mail Reader" setting in Mail's preferences has toggled back to "Eudora".
This is annoying to discover that when I click on a "mailto:" link in a web browser that Eudora has launched...
I can manually set this parameter back to "Mail" after I've quit Eudora (Eudora apparently only sets this once, when launched) and it will remain unchanged as long as I do not call up Eudora again. But life is short and time spent doing this repeatedly is time wasted, I'm sure you'll agree.
Surely there's a way to set this using an Applescript? It would be great to not worry about this again and run a script when Eudora is launched to set this back to "Mail".
Has anyone done this or know if it's possible?
Thanks,
Dave
