I was programming in HyperCard at the time and this book had more to say about good programming practice than any other book I have ever read. It was all about how not to play tricks on the user and how to be informative. It has guided my programming practice ever since, despite the fact that I have not re-read it in decades.
Programming a computer isn't about "programming a computer". It's about programming for a user.
