Hi Jim,
I dislike the fact that when I print from the AS Editor, the text size is so big. There's not an option to format the printed output in a different text size than what is used in the Editor.
OK. I understand.
So, I'm trying to write a script that grabs the contents of the Editor's front window using a copy command to preserve the formatting of the Editor and pasting it into a Tex-Edit Plus document where I can decrease the font size. I created this script and saved it as an application.
When I open a script and have it in the front window, then run the app from the script menu pulldown, I get the current contents of the clipboard.
I think that I understand this too.
Any clues as to why I can't get the text from the Editor?
What error messages do you get (if any). What exactly happens?
I did notice that there were some "gremlin" characters in your code after I copied it from your email, but that might only be caused by your pasting code into the body of the email. Attachments generally work better to preserve code so that email recipients get exactly the same thing that you have.
I don't know if this is a problem, because Script Editor seemed to handle the gremlin characters OK, but I just thought that I should mention it.
I believe that this email list will handle attachments as long as they are small, such as script, but only chokes on large attachments, such as apps.
