Temporary sound control

  • Subject: Temporary sound control

Hi,

Is there some magical incantation (shell script) to temporarily mute(?) the system sound as part of a script.

I know I can read sound level, control it and then return to the previous setting but I would like to do it as a single down/up operation.

TIA,

Robert Poland
