AFAIK, DS_Store files only contain information pertinent to display (hence the name) properties.
On my machine, your command returns an even earlier date than the one Kaydell was using. It clearly isn't updated on each disk read or even each disk write.
Do not post admin requests to the list. They will be ignored.
