Control key and startup dialog

  • Subject: Control key and startup dialog

Apologies if this has been addressed before.

I use a utility to launch applications from the keyboard, and the shortcuts I have set up frequently include the control key. If I launch an Applescript application in this way, I often get a dialog "Press Run to run this script or Quit to quit". If I manage to release the control key very quickly, the dialog doesn't appear.

It's a pain, and there's no obvious way to avoid it. Is there a non-obvious way?

Jeremy

PS: this is not the dialog which is affected by the "show startup screen" option in the AS editor.
