Yeah, I've had trouble with Gmail too, even after installing the update, so for now I've got the Gmail account deactivated in Mail and am interacting with Gmail only through the web interface. So everything I've been describing relates to standard IMAP accounts.

Hey John,

I've had a bunch of problems with Mail in Mavericks, such as a my Smart-Mailboxes getting hosed repeatedly - once since installing the Mail update - roughly 5 times before that.

What kind of accounts are you running?

As I mentioned in my missive a moment ago I'm having scripting issues with my Gmail account.
