It occurred to me that something like this might work:

set x to {"a", "b", "c", "d" etc.}

then see if the character following a line break was in the list, but unfortunately:

set x to {"a", "A", "B", "B"}
"b" is in x
--true

It is not case sensitive.

Anyone done something similar? I'm in Pages 4.3.
