I don't think it's either/or. Tell blocks still have their place, although they won't be needed in shorter scripts, or one-app scripts. And the "use" statement will help clarify some terminology clashes by providing a way to opt out of scripting addition terminology and target scripting additions.

But with terminology now coming from apps, scripting additions and libraries, not having tell blocks will sometimes make for cleaner code. Being able to say "... of x", which is another way of doing the same thing for a single statement, will be less cumbersome.

But I have to admit my focus has been on libraries, so I haven't really played with "use" in general much.

There's no question that the language just got a bit more complex, though.
