Entering text into a script

  • Subject: Entering text into a script

My boss wants me to write a script to allow the user to enter "large" amounts of text (up to 165 to 180 words). Somehow, display dialog doesn't seem conducive to this endeavor.

Is there a better way to input more than a couple of words into a script?

As part of this same project, I need to enter this data (and a lot more that I've collected by this script) into a Microsoft Word document that has a table in it. Pieces of the data need to go into various cells of the table. I haven't been able to find any examples of scripting a table in a Word document. Does anyone know of a website that shows examples of how to script Word documents with tables?

TIA

Jim
