I understood that but as I wrote,
read file theFile  as «class Utf8»
The result is in fact the hexadecimal contents of the file.

while

read file theFile  as «class utf8»
issue an error message.

So, altough I was surprised by that, I assumed that the correct spelling was «class Utf8»
which like «class ut16» returns a flow of data even if it's not what I hoped to get.
