David, nice to see a JXA author finally stick their head above the parapet. You may wish to add the following to your rounds, as SO is a popular forum for conventional coders and has now acquired a tag for JXA questions:

I've answered some of the Apple event-related problems, but I gave up trying to decipher JXA's broken OSA component implementation so there's a couple questions on that still outstanding.
There's also been a couple JXA threads on devforums which you might want
to review:
    https://devforums.apple.com/community/tools/auto/applescript

Though I recommend folks take discussion to SO or cocoa-dev/applescript-users, as those are popular public lists where they're a bit more likely to find help.
