I have a bootable clone which I generally unplug from my MacBook Pro when I'm not using it. Sometimes I forget. Having two parallel file systems feels sorta dangerous; in fact I got burned last week when a file I was editing got saved onto the wrong disk. It's sorted now, but parallel file systems remain a nuisance!
An obvious fix is for me to whip up a Folder-Action AppleScript to watch some system volume,...
But wait. Maybe somebody has already done that?
