I'm conducting an informal poll of scripters. All except the last are aimed at people running Mavericks. It's more a matter of curiosity than seeking meaningful statistics, and I figure others might also be interested, so replies to the list are preferred.

* Are you using the Script Libraries facility (not Script Debugger libraries or "load script" libraries)? If so, are you using standard AS libraries, ASObjC-based libraries, or both? And are you writing (or at least modifying) them yourself, or getting them elsewhere? And are you using libraries with scripting dictionaries, or using normal AppleScript handler calls?

I do use them somewhat, some with ASOC, some with scripting dictionaries, some not. I write/revise them myself

* If you're not using Script Libraries, is there any particular reason?

I would use them more except for annoying annoying. the scripting dictionaries are implemented poorly (though I think I may understand why, and it may be unavoidable), and sharing, helping, or providing scripts to others becomes much more of a headache, since I sometimes need to to write new versions of scripts for people running older OS’s.

* Do you know how to set up Script Libraries and use them in your scripts?

yes.

* Do you think you would be more likely to use ASObjC if you could include it directly in your scripts (perhaps confined to handlers or sections of code), or would it not make any difference?

maybe. Better (and probably easier) if there were a way to load pre-written libraries into scripts, for better portability

* If you were to be granted one AppleScript-related wish, what would it be?

Ugh. where do I start with that?
