ahhh.. I did find that, although didn’t use the sleepForTimeInterval:3

I also found that the delay command worked for me in Yosemite

There is indeed:

current application's NSThread's sleepForTimeInterval:3


But I'm not convinced that it's needed outside an Xcode-built app.
