Smile's web windows don't look specially pretty, but they can display web pages, and Smile is fairly scriptable.

Not sure whether it's in the dictionary, you do: make new web window with properties {path name: "http://apple.com"}

To check Smile's RAM usage, use ps with Smile's pid which is: my «class PID ».
