It works for me the first time I run it from Script Editor, but only partly: It changes the front Finder window to "All My Files," but it doesn't add a search line. Then every time I run it again, it does nothing, even if I first return the front Finder window to its former state.
I can make it work again, once, by editing and rebuilding the script (but that doesn't always work, so maybe another step that I took but didn't notice is key to making it work again, once).
Thanks Bill
Now I know that I didn't hallucinate when I saw it opening "All My Files" the first time I tested it. It never did later so I was wondering if I was having visions.
You are more efficient than me with GUI scripting — but it's not a scoop — I didn't found a way to make it work again. Waiting for a possible correction, I asked the Finder for the localized string FF34 which is Find in English and Rechercher in French, so I may trigger the menu item. When it works, using the shortcut is cleaner but at this time we have no choice.
