Scripting a user login in Mavericks?

  • Subject: Scripting a user login in Mavericks?

I manage several school Mac computer labs. Every Mac has an identical local admin account and blank username and password fields are the default login states. Using Lion I was able to script a login to the user desktop with a Unix/Applescript command, via ARD, based on the condition that after a restart, the cursor would be in the username field. In Mavericks, no field is selected without mousing to the field and clicking. Can any one tell me if Applescript can select the username field of a Mavericks Mac when no one is logged in and no field is selected? Was it a security weakness that Apple turned off?
Thanks in advance.
Rob Gere
