Just an FYI. Whenever I download an installer for some app, I keep it in a folder called Installs in case I might need it later. In cases like this, an old copy of Illustrator 4, 5, or 6 with a 30 day eval period would do the trick just fine.
If you are in the habit of installing from an App store, don't forget to check the vendor/author's web site to see if they have a light or eval copy. It just might save your butt in a pinch.
