This is only barely a third-party item. It mostly only uses BridgePlus for date conversions; you can remove that dependence easily enough if you don't want to support 10.9 and 10.10. In fact, you can use plain handlers I've posted here before, and still retain backwards compatibility. I just used BridgePlus because it was easy, a bit quicker, and it contains a lot of other useful stuff too.
As for CalendarLib itself, you have the code; you can use it as a lib, or you can just copy and paste the code directly into your scripts. Either way, the code is *your* code -- it's no more third-party than something you copy and paste from a posting here.
And for distribution it is simple either way; libs can easily be included in your script bundles.
