OK, I plead guilty. Serial offender, in fact. So let me follow up a point you raised that isn't particularly technical.

I know people are going to look at those statements and wonder about that word "replace". So is this a statement of intent (in which case you probably can't say so in as many words, I know), of preference for the future, or are you merely suggesting it's offering an easier path and hence lowering the degree of effort required to expand AppleScript's capabilities?
