FYI, the Automator actions are actually based on the script library; they just call its handlers.

If you choose File -> Open Dictionary... in Script Editor, you will see it listed. Other than that, you can read about it here:

But if you mean in more general terms, Configurator has a fairly specific audience, and one that does a fair bit of networking -- and i believe it's been shown at conferences for admins. I only learned of it because it was written with my app.
