Believe it or not, I still don't use Outlook, I'm still using Entourage
2008. Sooner or later I know it will become incompatible with a new OS, I'm
sure.
It was something as trivial as the fact that Outlook apparently does not
selectively quote only selected text (that is, if any is selected) in
replies, plus the early reports of roughness, of which I imagine most would
be fixed by now, that kept me in Entourage. Also, back when a change in my
day job meant I no longer had time for such things, I did not participate in
the office 2011 beta testing (aside from a request to check out Outlook's
AppleScript dictionary at a fairly early stage) kept me uninvolved and
without the complementary release version of Office. And I still haven't got
around to buying it.
I believe the next version should be nearing release now. Probably I'll just
wait for that and then finally come on board.
Sorry I can't help with this issue. From what Phil (2551) says, it sounds
like this is not endemic to Outlook 2011 as such but more likely some
conflict with other apps. First, though, have you checked that you are fully
updated with Office 2011? If you are using an original or simply
pre-Yosemite version, that could well account for the crashes.
