I don't know why Adobe gave the owner root to the folder "~/Library/Saved Application State/com.adobe.flashplayer.installmanager.savedState" but I assume that we may encounter this kind of feature in other folders so the enhanced version which treats flawlessly my home folder may be useful for other users.
Yes -- it's tests like that that uncover potential problems.
Now, for me, it's time to try to understand the script structure ;-)
Yell if you have any questions.
Oops, I forgot to write about a detail. When the script has finished its task, it can't be saved.
I was forced to click on the Compile button to retrieve the ability to save.
It's clearly a Script Editor artefact because when I ran the script in "ASObjC Explorer 4" I had no problem to re-save. Yes, Script Editor has some serious bugs.
I know that at least one of them is corrected in Yosemite 10.10.2. In this system I may open normally a dictionary and use the search feature in the Script Editor used in French. If the Count Basie's discography leave some free time, I will test the script under this O.S.
In ASObjC Explorer, when it was asked to scan my Home folder, the script generated 71,600 lines in 19,569seconds.
I ran it with logging, and then copied and pasted the full log into BBEdit. Just over 395,000 lines of log ...
I didn't gave the count of lines of the events log, only the count of lines in the final result.
Now I know the answer to a question which puzzled me : the script doesn't scan the contents of folders pointed to by symbolic links which I use heavily.
