I wrote appscript, which eventually appeared in Python, Ruby, MacRuby, and ObjC flavors

It's a bit rusty and embarrassing at times, and really not as good as it ought to be, but it's still "War and Peace" compared to certain other AE bridges' documentation that we shall not talk about. :)
