In terms of the resettacode definition of the problem, it's also closer to correct because it keeps punctuation. (An arbitrary decision, no?) But the problem definition seems to carry its share of baggage. It's definition of a token would include punctuation characters separated by spaces, something that's not uncommon in many languages -- consider the em-dash in English. And it says white space, but then the sample contains no tabs.
