I have one solution done in Keyboard Maestro that calls caffeinate for 60 minutes whenever Toast launches. This is OK but sometimes ends up calling multiple iterations of caffeinate when I am burning multiple discs.

Is that a problem? Not as yet. Wasn’t sure about multiple instances of caffeinate perhaps tripping over each other. So far so good for now.

Caffeine is free from the App-Store and is AppleScriptable.
I've been using it for years.
As it turns out, tying caffeinate to Toast with a bash script (caffeinate -i '/Applications/Toast 12 Titanium/Toast Titanium.app/Contents/MacOS/Toast Titanium') did exactly what I wanted twice, and then Toast wouldn’t work any more. I had to reinstall Toast to get it working.
I’m going back to the Keyboard Maestro macro that I had previously been using which runs the bash line “caffeinate -i -t 3600” whenever Toast is launched. I suspect this is doing the same thing as the Caffeine app Christopher Stone and Tommy mentioned.
Thanks for the suggestions J |
