Calendar events & attachements

  • Subject: Calendar events & attachements

It looks like an event in Calendar does not have a property for "Attachements" even though it is possible to add an attachment to an event: I've manually added an attachment and then checked the event properties and nothing was registered there...

So the first question is, is it possible and if yes, how?

Now, if it were possible to script attaching something to an event, I'd like to know if it is preferable to create an URL to that something or to create an attachment. I can create a file:// url to an object on the disk but it is visually nicer to have an attachment.

Also, for some weird reason, "Add Attachement" allows me to add a file and not a folder, but dropping a folder makes the folder accepted as an attachment... On the same note, I can drop a file/folder on the URL field and I get an url of the type "file:///.file/id=6571367.20953471/" which seems to be created by Calendar, and it's not like I'd like to be able to do the same thing, but what's the idea here?
