You probably don't have that level of control -- so you may need to keep adding them via Mail scripting.
Well, that's not strictly true. Attributed strings can include attachments within them -- an attachment in an attributed string is actually just an attribute you apply -- so you may be able to assemble your attributed string so it contains the attachments, and pass that. I haven't tried it, but the theory is sound. That might well be the best bet...
