I tested the hell out of this when we discovered it and found no working solution that I can remember.

I also tried creating a mailbox and moving it into an existing mailbox.

That's dangerous, because it will destroy the mailbox you're trying to move.

So if you test this be SURE to use test mailboxes.

I believe you CAN create a sub-mailbox in a mailbox that already has 1 or more sub-mailboxes, but that doesn't help much from an automation standpoint.
