Looking at the result of the script in Script Debugger's Variables table, it shows virtually all properties of theSelectedMessage as read-only -- except for the boolean properties, flag index and mailbox. Weird.

I suggested this before, but I might as well do it again: a group of scripters should get together and check out the alternatives available, and approach the developer(s). I'm sure one of the smaller outfits would be delighted with the opportunity to make a mark.
