But before you answer, you want to check something on the Web page you have open -- did you just win a million euros? -- so you click in it to scroll down. And once you have made an application window active like that, although you can still see the dialog, there is no way you can enter a new answer -- you can only click a button. Très mal.
We native French are very honored that you use your language in an example.
I have thought you might want to know a few minor details about our language:
1. we insert a space before question marks (and before exclamation marks, colons and semi-colons),
2. we never say "Très bon" as a reply to "Comment allez-vous ?", except with a heavy English accent intended as a pun. We always say "Très bien", or a more informal "Super !". The problem is that "bon" is not an adverb, it's an adjective, you can say you find your hamburger "très bon" or your green salad "très bonne", but not that you feel "bon" like you would say "I feel good".
3. we don't say "Très mal" in situations where you say "Very bad". When you hear "très mal", it means, either "it's morally not correct", like in "c'est très mal de battre sa femme quand on est saoul" (it's very bad to beat your wife when you're drunk), or "it hurts much" like in "ça fait très mal de tomber dans les escaliers" (falling in the staircase hurts a lot).
In the situation above, "bad" translates into "mauvais" : "Très mauvais". Or, in a more informal style, you could say "Franchement nul", "Carrément pourri" or "Naze de chez naze".
All the best,
Emmanuel
