As Steve suggested, move these commands outside the "if" / "end if" block. Otherwise they only execute when item 1 of theTeam is "Pink"

You may also add this: before or after those commands to make sure the variables have values when that part of the script executes.
display dialog theTeam & return thePath & return & teamGroup
