Yes, I would know where to look. I thought that OP was regarding finding
Dropbox paths where you DON'T know. And this approach is documented in
multiple places around the web, so others might be expected to use the
same approach.
Actually, as I look at the script, I'm not sure that the location of
other .dropbox folders couldn't be put ANYWHERE, if you build an
explicit path rather than building on the $HOME environment variable.
HOME=$HOME/.dropbox-WHATEVER/Applications/Dropbox/Dropbox.app/Contents/MacOS/Dropbox&
vs.
HOME=/Volumes/SOME_VOLUME/.dropbox-WHATEVER/Applications/Dropbox/Dropbox.app/Contents/MacOS/Dropbox
