There's no reason you can't. But "whose its" sounds awful, and I suspect "where" was added as a synonym precisely for the case where "its" is needed, to read better.

The compiler does tell you indirectly when its is needed, by using different syntax styling for affected properties. So I personally think doing it all the time is unnecessary typing.
