Thanks Yvan for improving and extending the script to cover apps in other locations. I’ve updated the version on my website to yours and credited you with that via a link to this discussion. Almost -- it's possible that plug-ins and other bits and bobs could also be using Sparkle.
Preference Panes, Mail plug-ins, yeah…and then there’s those that don’t use SUFeedURL but bury the appcast address in the MacOS binary. DriveDx is one of been mentioning that does that, but there are others. You should probably be getting the version of the framework, too:
I’m still searching for a way to do that. I don’t see anything included in the /Contents/Frameworks folder that indicates the Sparkle version. Any ideas?
