I tried Running the above new version of the script in the Script Editor and it pastes over the Script itself……
Apparently Yvan is correct, and your command to activate Outlook does not have time to complete before your script moves on and sends the keystrokes. Since you're running the script in Script Editor, Script Editor remains in front, and as I said the keystroke commands automatically go to the frontmost application -- namely, Script Editor. So you either need to set the Outlook process's 'frontmost' property to true as Yvan suggested (and make sure it executes immediately), or you need to insert a 'delay' command to give Outlook time to come to the front. Or maybe run your script from a script menu. |
