I was wondering if WWDC indicated there would be news on the Automation front.

Any information?

I have found a couple of very minor new features in the accessibility API, which will add a little to what you can do with GUI Scripting. The most interesting one is the new constant NSAccessibilityMenuBarItemRole ("AXMenuBarItem"), which according to the documentation gives access to what I call "menu extras" at the right end of the main Mac menu bar. But it was possible to script them without this new constant, anyway.
