Something that’s always bothered me about lists like this that I am finally asking about: when you select (a portion of) someone’s message in a list digest, how do you get the message’s sender and time into your response? I have always replaced it manually, which seems dumb. (It’s bad enough that the subject of my response has to be replaced manually.)
I no longer subscribe via digest, but when I did, I'd just copy the sender's name and/or email, paste it into the attribution, and delete the date/time, since it's not that important. Oh, and I'd also copy the subject, because it's really horrible to see subjects like "Re: AppleScript-Users Digest, Vol 13, Issue 279". It's more email per day, but NOT using a digest is so much better, especially if you're in a hurry to see responses.
Sent from iCloud's ridiculous UI, so, sorry about the formatting
