Others may have more knowledge, but as far as I know: • Outgoing messages do not have a flag property to set, even though, regular messages do (called flag index) • You can, in fact, set the color of an outgoing message through Mail's interface, but only after it has been sent • Mail Rules are not automatically applied to outgoing messages, even though you can apply rules to sent messages If there were a way to set the flag in the interface before the message is sent you could use GUI scripting, but I think you are out of luck. (Well, maybe not entirely. You might be able to get this to work, but I doubt it: an AppleScript that 1. Sent the current outgoing message. 2.. Immediately go to the Sent mailbox (choosing the right one if you have several) 3. Select the most recently sent mail message (you'd have to keep the messages in chronological order 4. Use GUI scripting to apply its flag. I don't think you're going to be able to make this work. On Jun 30, 2016, at 2:10 AM, Peter R Hawkes < email@hidden> wrote:
Using El Capitan, and all the updates, I can find no way of setting a Rule on Sent Items within Apple Mail. I would like every message to be Flagged upon being Sent.
Is there a way to achieve this by using AppleScript?
