At Steve: Actually, both scripts derive from the same source: a last years script for beeing called by QuicKeys (worked flawlessly for the past 11 month9, then turned into an applet by means of SE (again working proper). Yesterday I converted the applet again back to a script, and one is a backup of the other (but I dont remember which one :-). So no third party mingling in....Strange, isn't it?
So since the last working version (the applet?) was compiled at a different time than the most recent script, then the two compiled scripts really aren't the same. Have any of the apps that the scripts target been updated in the time between the two compilations? If so, there could be differences in the AppleScript dictionaries that cause the scripts to compile differently. Simple question, but have you tried rebooting and then compiling the latest script again?
Sent from iCloud's ridiculous UI, so, sorry about the formatting
